Teaching is the best experience =)

From my field work held at Gugo Elementary School, some of my friends told me the “teaching was the most difficult thing to do in the first place”. But for me, it’s not. All you have need is patience, perseverance, and deep understanding. These 3 characteristics make a true a mark of EDUCATOR because without this, you can’t call to be a future TEACHER. I chose education in my degree program to teach children the BASIC things that they don’t know.

From my experience from the field work that we had, I volunteer myself to share some ideas and basic knowledge that I have. While I am teaching a student from grade 6 level, she find difficulty in answering numbers. The thing that I did

to her is solving step by step then some exercises I gave to her. I teach her at 3 times (I think?) because she’s really having a hard time in solving numbers. Then at the end, she knows already what I’ve taught to her. As my appreciation, I gave a token of appreciation of what she has done. I can see in her face that she really wanted to learned .

I realized that in teaching, it will test your patience and your time management because all of these things are really needed in order to be

trained as a young educator at this time. I’m happy that even in small ways; I can help other people with the use of patience and deep understanding.

All I can say at the end of my realization is, “experience can teach lessons and experience is the best teacher” =)
